The Claddagh ring was introduced to Ireland from the small fishing village of Claddagh just outside Galway City and thought to have dated back to the Roman times. They are recognized by two hands clasped around a heart with a crown overhead. The Claddagh ring is known worldwide to be a symbol of love, friendship, honor and loyalty. This is handcrafted using 5000 year-old Irish peat from some of Ireland's oldest bog lands. The unique antique brown finish highlights every detail of the ancient Celtic designs.
