Knock Pottery is located in Knock, Co. Mayo, Ireland. The word Knock comes from the Irish words An Cnoc which means "The Hill". On August 21, 1879, fifteen villagers from Knock witnessed an apparaition of The Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, and St. John the Evangelist at the village church. This apparaition has been approved by the Catholic Church and the village of Knock has become a pilgrimage site for millions of international visitors each year. The town is now known as Cnoc Mhuire, "Hill of Mary".

Knock Pottery is not related to the Marian Shrine at Knock, however they do offer a wide range of inspirational and religious gift items. Each piece of Knock Pottery is handcrafted by highly trained craftsmen to ensure the highest quality. Their traditional designs are fired with beautiful glazes which make the pieces durable.
